Rather than using a replaceable derailleur hanger, which is flimsy and weak, the entire drop out is a solid cnc machined piece that not only increases stiffness to the wheel, but improves shifting performance and decreases the constant need to replace derailleur hangers. Should the derailleur hanger bend or break in an extreme situation, the swingarm is not lost, as the entire drop-out can be replaced.
